Mankind

Breathing in she felt alive and unconfined;

Free and separated from all of mankind.

The wind it blew, wild and unchallenged.

An element not made by man, feral and savage.

Her steps drew down to the end of the waters journey.

The pool revealed an image that made her skin crawl from the inside-

The creature that lies and divides and sends pain worldwide.

But she is not the creature that the reflection does show,

but a mere image of the breed that can sink so low.

Sinking her feet into the water, she walked until she could walk no more.

She would not be the one breathing when there is a planet uproar.

With her last breath she screamed for all to hear,

'I will die by natures hand, before it all does disappear! I will not be nature's plaything,

I will no longer live in fear.'
